Just a tiny short post to show off my new knitting project. After eyeing the pattern on rav. for a couple of days, I started it on the spur of the moment last Thursday while watching a movie called “Kokowääh“. (The movie was amazingly good and superfun, btw). It’s a going to be a wonderful blanket made only of sock yarn. It’s of course going to be a long term project for I’m planning to use mostly left overs…. though I’ll have to do a lot more socks till I have enough left overs to finish that blanket. 😉
The pattern is from ravelry and I just love it. It’s easy and fast to do and I just LOVE working with all those pretty colors. So far I’ve only used either Lana Grossa Meilenweit 100 Cotton Stretch and Schoeller+Stahl Fortissima Mexiko Cotton Stretch. They are almost similar and go wonderfully together. Also they are soft and stretchy and great to knit with.
Oh, I almost forgot, the very best about the pattern is that after knitting the first squares seperately all other squares are knit directly into the blanket. So no scary sewing together afterwards, except for all those loose ends.
As usual all yarn, needle and pattern detais can be found on my ravelry page: http://ravel.me/aravis83/yfch7
